The Kepler Gambit is a real-time multiplayer space trading and combat game driven by true orbital physics.

Planets move on real orbits, and your ship flies on thrust and gravity alone. Master your momentum, because a well-flown slingshot is the difference between massive profit and a long, cold drift.

Prospect asteroids, deploy mining rigs, and ride the market's shifting prices. Whether you choose to raid rival rigs or trade peacefully, your ultimate goal remains the same: secure victory by planting colonies on the moons of the gas giants.

Features:

  • 1–4 Players: Jump into quick-play matchmaking or host private rooms with friends.
  • Frictionless Access: Play instantly in your browser, on desktop, or on your phone, no account needed!
  • True Physics: Experience real Kepler orbits and Newtonian flight mechanics.
  • Dynamic Economy: Adapt to shifting market prices to maximize your profits.
  • Strategic Gameplay: Prospect, mine, raid, and defend your assets in real-time.
  • PvP: Dogfight with missiles and defend your base from raids
  • Piracy: Intercept your rivals cargo runs

Hi ! I played and I really enjoyed the overall experience. The concept of the game is very unique and interesting. A space game focused on exploration, resource gathering, building, and managing your ship is something I haven't played much before, and it has a lot of potential.

The strongest part of the game is definitely the atmosphere and the technical side. The space environment looks really impressive, and the physics, especially the gravity and orbital movement, make the game feel much more immersive. The planets, stars, and overall space feeling are really well done. The sound effects are also great and help create a strong space atmosphere. I was also surprised by how smooth the game runs, especially for a browser game.

I also liked the multiplayer aspect and how easy it was to join a session. The UI design itself looks clean and the different systems like mining, rigs, stations, resources, and customization create an interesting gameplay foundation.

However, the biggest issue I had was understanding what to do at the beginning. The game has many controls and systems, but the onboarding and tutorials are not enough for new players. I often found myself confused about objectives, how to collect resources, how to use certain options, and what different buttons actually do. A more guided introduction with step by step missions or better hints would make the first experience much smoother.

The UI also has a lot of information at once, which can feel overwhelming. Simplifying the interface or slowly introducing new mechanics over time would help players understand the game without feeling lost.

Overall, Kepler Gambit has a really unique concept and a very strong foundation. The graphics, physics, optimization, and atmosphere are already impressive. With better tutorials, clearer explanations, and a more beginner friendly onboarding experience, I think this game has a lot of potential.

By the way, we are also working on our own indie game called ZAR. If you have some time, we would love to hear your feedback about it:

Good luck with the development!

Well... I just got kicked with this error... no warning, no error code.

"connection lost - can't reconnect to the match. "

And that's why the in-game bug report doesn't work either, it won't send

No worries at all though :D I'm happy to help and run tests whenever I can, because I really enjoy the game :D The 45-minute time limit does add some pressure... I would definitely prefer a stress-free, unlimited session, but I know that's not a bug :D"

Awesome, that helps. I think I found it. Hopefully will be fixed next update. Edit- Fixed. Let me know if it happens again.

This is a great game... It would be... but it constantly disconnects, which is pretty annoying even in single-player mode... I haven't been able to play for more than 6-7 minutes even once. And it would also be awesome if it could be downloaded. But anyway, thanks for the work, I like it ☺️

Im glad you like it.

That is the first report of that happening. Ill look right  into it. Could you please enter a game and hit the report lag button so I can fault find?

Were you getting the poor connection notification during your games?

I haven't received any slow internet notifications. Furthermore, I experienced the same disconnections while playing on a mobile device with a stable, unlimited, high-speed connection. I am about to start a game session now, and if I find any useful information or logs, I will send them over

I appreciate your patience! We will get it sorted dont you worry.
